The next day, Sir Henry Baskerville, Dr Mortimer and I take the train to Devon. Sherlock Holmes drives with me to Paddington Station and asks me to write to him all the facts.
The last thing he says is, "Keep your gun near you night and day and make sure Sir Henry does not go out alone, especially(尤其是) in the dark. " The journey(旅程) on the train is quick and fun. As we reach Devon, we see the moor. It is a large grey hill, like something from a dream. The train arrives at a small station. A wagon and two horses are waiting for us. At that time, we see a man with a gun watching the road.
"What's happening, driver?" asks Dr Mortimer. Our driver turns around. "They are looking for a prisoner(囚犯) from the local prison, sir. Selden, the famous murderer. "
I shiver(哆嗦) and Sir Henry looks worried. At last, we see a big dark building with two tall towers. It is Baskerville Hall.
"Welcome, Sir Henry! Welcome to Baskerville Hall!" A tall man, Barrymore, the butler, opens the door of the wagon. Barrymore takes the bags to our room. My room is next door to Sir Henry's. Before I go to bed, I look out of my window at the trees, rocks, and the sad-looking moor.
