六、任务型阅读。(共5小题,每小题2分,满分10分)
Boys and girls, do you often read stories about Chinese idioms (成语)?
The idiom caigao badou is used to talk about a person who is really smart. It is said that the idiom comes from a story about a man called Cao Zhi. He was one of Cao Cao's sons during the Three Kingdoms period. Cao Zhi was an amazing poet. His poems were like magic, painting pictures in people's mind. Almost every Chinese person knows his Seven Steps Poem.
Xie Lingyun was a famous poet who lived after Cao Zhi during the Northern and Southern Dynasties. He was quite proud of his own writing, but he admired(欣赏) Cao Zhi's talent. He once said, "If all the smartness in the world was put into one dan, Cao Zhi alone had eight dou. I deserve (值得) one dou and the rest of the poets could find out how to share the last one."
In this story, we talk about dan and dou. In fact, dan and dou were used to measure (度量) crops in ancient times, like how we measure rice in kilos. One dan has ten dou. So, saying someone has eight dou of talent is like saying he or she is super smart.
