A woman saw three old men sitting in front of her house. She said, "You look hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."
"Is the man of the house home?" they asked. "No," she said. "He's out." "Then we cannot come in," they replied.
Later, when her husband came home, the woman went to invite the three men to come in. "My name is Love, and they're Wealth and Success," one of the old men said. "We hardly go into a house together."
The woman went to discuss with her husband. Her husband said, "Let's invite Wealth, and let him fill our home with money!" The woman disagreed and said, "Why don't we invite Success?" Their daughter jumped in with her own idea. "Would it not be better to invite Love?" she said. "Our home will then be filled with love."
"That's right," said her dad and mum. So the woman asked Love to be their guest. Love got up and started walking into the house. The other two men also got up and followed him.
Surprised, the woman asked, "Why are Wealth and Success coming in?" Love replied, "If you invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would stay outside. But you invited me. Wherever I go, they usually go with me."
