Last Friday, the weather was terrible. A sudden typhoon hit our city, and the situation became an emergency right away. I was in the office when the thunder roared and lightning lit
up the sky. I tried to stay calm, but my hands shook with fear. “This is terrible,” I said to myself.
The traffic on the road stopped completely. I heard the sound of windows shaking and the voice of people shouting in fear. A fireman later told me that a coach had crashed in an accident because of the heavy rain. Some people were slightly hurt, and the homeless had to stay in the emergency shelter with heating.
When I finally got home, I was safe and sound. The state of the city was a mess, with broken brick walls everywhere. The policemen and postmen were working hard to clear the streets. I felt nervous, but I tried to avoid thinking about the danger.
So far, the typhoon has passed. We must warn each other to stay safe in such weather. The report said that more storms might come, so we need to get ready.

When an earthquake happens, there will be loud noise. Buildings will fall down because of the shaking of the earth and people may be trapped.

Now I'd like to give you some tips in case there's an earthquake. Hide under a table if you're at home. If possible, you can also go to an open space. Remember to stay away from buildings, or you'll get hurt.
