Two giant pandas named Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei lived in a zoo in Tokyo, Japan. They brought lots of happiness to Japanese people. On 27th January 2026, the two pandas started their trip back to China.
Many Japanese people came to the zoo to say goodbye. They took photos and felt sad to see them leave. The pandas took a special plane back to China. They arrived safely in Chengdu, Sichuan.
Now they live in a panda base in Ya'an. Workers look after them very well. They give the pandas fresh bamboo every day. The two pandas will have a happy life in their hometown.
Giant pandas help China make friends with other countries. We all love these lovely animals and hope they live healthily all the time.
