There's a new girl named Sasha in our class. Mrs Ramirez put Sasha at our table, right next to me. Then Mrs Ramirez said, “Becky, I know you'll be a big help to Sasha.” I smiled at Sasha, and she smiled back. Maybe we'll become friends. It would be so great to have a new friend!

I am really angry with Sasha. I'm not sure if I want to be her friend. I've been trying hard to be nice, but today she got me in big trouble! When the break ended this afternoon, Mrs Ramirez asked me to bring the soccer inside and put it away. When I walked into the classroom, I broke a rule—I kicked the ball indoors. The ball knocked over a flowerpot(花盆). As Mrs Ramirez was still out in the hall, all I had to do was pick up the pot pieces and clean up the floor. But before I could, Sasha ran and got Mrs Ramirez. How terrible! Now I have to stay inside. I am so angry at Sasha.

Today our class went to the computer lab. When the lesson was over, Mr Munn told us to turn off the computers. Then we lined up(排队) and waited to go home. That was when I noticed that the computer that Sasha had used was still on. I thought about telling Mr Munn. But instead, I walked out of line quietly and turned off the computer. When I got back in line, Sasha was smiling at me. She made a silent “thanks” with her mouth. Maybe Sasha and I can be friends after all.
