In a middle school classroom, we sometimes see students having disagreements and fights with their classmates. Problems often start with a small thing.
Emily's classmate, Xiao Hong, always seems to take the last pen from her pencil box without asking, leaving Emily without one when she needs it for her Maths homework. Last week, Emily had a big fight with Jack because their teacher, Mrs Wang, praised(赞扬) Jack greatly for an idea Emily had for a class programme. Mrs Wang said it was not a big deal and that Emily should just forget about it. Emily couldn't stand it and didn't know what to do.
Miss Zhao is the school advisor and she understands that it's not easy being a student like Emily. She thinks it's normal for students to have disagreements, but it's important to deal with these problems in a good way. The first thing Emily should do is to talk to Xiao Hong and Jack. She should share her feelings and what she expects from them.
Miss Zhao also advises that Emily should talk to Mrs Wang about the problem. In Miss Zhao's opinion, teachers play a very important role in stopping these problems from getting bigger. They should care for all students equally(平等地) and not compare one student with another. Also, it's a good idea to let students try to solve their problems by themselves. Learning how to solve problems is very important for the future life.
