Do you think exercise is hard? If so, why not start with baduanjin? This term, Ms Lin starts a baduanjin club at our school, and she is also our teacher.
In the club, Ms Lin encourages (鼓励) students to help each other. If someone finds a move difficult, she lets other students step in and teach them how to do it. "It's a club, not just a class," she says. "Learning comes from everyone here. Every student helps others grow."
Zhang Xing, a student in the club, learns baduanjin too. He thinks this friendly help makes the club special.
Most students start as beginners, but they learn quickly. Now, many of them can do all the moves well. Their hard work pays off (得到回报)—the club often shows baduanjin to the whole school. This makes the students feel very happy. "When we do it, we always move together," says Ms Lin. "And sharing this with everyone brings us joy."
Baduanjin is very good for you. As Ms Lin says, "It can be all the exercise you need. You can also use it as a foundation (基础) for other sports. In fact, many students now love sports more because of this club."
