Anyone, no matter how young, can create something amazing! During the 2025 summer holiday, North Yorkshire food factory HECK! set a challenge(挑战) and invited children across the UK to create their own sausages. Thousands of children took part in the competition with drawings, names and funny recipes. The first prize finally went to nine-year-old Olivia Molyneux.
Olivia’s winning idea was the “Baked Bean Banger”, a sausage filled with baked beans. It was simple but creative. Olivia said happily, “I love sausages and beans, so I thought they’d taste good together.” The factory founders loved the recipes from the children. “They thought about cooking in such fun ways, but Olivia’s Baked Bean Banger truly stood out,” one of them said. “It was clever of her to mix two of Britain’s best-loved foods together!”
In early November, HECK! brought Olivia’s winning recipe to life. When the sausages went on sale in the online store of HECK!, they were so popular that they sold out very fast! Now the factory plans to sell the sausages in supermarkets across the country. “It’s exciting to see my idea turned into real sausages. I hope people like them,” said Olivia.
As part of her prize, Olivia gets to visit the HECK! factory in North Yorkshire. There, she’ll spend a day learning how to make sausages and she will also get lots of sausages and hamburgers to take home.
