Today is Sunday, so Peter doesn't go out. He asks his parents about the traditional Chinese clothes—tangzhuang.
Some people think tangzhuang are Chinese clothes from the Tang Dynasty. In fact, a Tang Suit is not a suit of the Tang Dynasty but a Chinese-style suit. Tangzhuang get the name because the Tang Dynasty is so famous around the world.
Tangzhuang are designed in a special way. Silk is the first choice when picking materials(材料)for tangzhuang. Stand-up collars and symmetrical lapels(对称翻领)are also features that make tangzhuang different from other styles.
Exquisite embroidery(刺绣)is another feature of tangzhuang. Even the little buttons(纽扣)are made with great attention to detail. These different buttons are the finishing touches of tangzhuang.
People usually put on tangzhuang for the Spring Festival or weddings. Chinese people think tangzhuang are special clothing for important events.
As time goes on, there are some changes in colours, materials and details of tangzhuang, but not in the form of the collar and buttons. Drawing on(利用)elements from other styles,
they now have a more fashionable, beautiful look.
