There were once four seasons in the year called Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Each season was very different, and two of them didn’t get along very well. Which two were they? Well, Winter and Summer. Summer didn’t like cold days or snow, but Winter didn’t like hot days or rain.
One day, the four seasons got together to solve the problem. During the meeting, Spring and Autumn said Winter and Summer should be friendly to each other, because the four seasons were all important to the circle of life on earth.
Spring said, “Winter, all living things are able to live because of you. There is much water when the ice melts and that helps plants grow in my season. And Summer, there’s life on earth because of you and your sunlight. The heat makes water turn into clouds. Ice crystals in clouds stick together and fall as snow when Winter comes. So you are both important.”
After hearing the words, Winter and Summer started to think, and then Winter said, “You are right. Now I understand. Let’s
cooperate for all life.” Winter and Summer finally realized that being united was the only way that they could keep the balance on earth.
