Over the past 20 years, I have watched The Lion King more than a dozen times. When I first watched the film, Mufasa’s death made me, a six-year-old girl, very
1
at that time, and since then, I have always skipped (跳过) that part. Later on, during my middle-school years, I liked the “love story” part a lot, and Simba and Nala were really a
2
couple in my heart. Every time I watched the film, I had
3
feelings.
Recently, I watched The Lion King again, and it was the
4
of Pumbaa and Timon that impressed me most—they were ordinary and lived an ordinary life. To me, the best lesson that Pumbaa and Timon have taught us is that
5
they know their life is ordinary, they still love and enjoy it.
In fact, in the real world, only a few people can achieve great things, and the rest of us will just live our
6
life. A sentence on the internet
7
me: through hard work, ordinary people only fight for the right to
8
their ordinary life in the ordinary world. It is cruel, but it is true. The best solution is to accept and enjoy it. I know it’s
9
but this is a part of growing up. I’m not saying that we should not have great dreams. However, I just think we should get prepared even though we would never
10
our great dreams. After all, just as Vince Lombardi, a great American football coach, once said, “Perfection is not attainable, but we can catch excellence if we chase perfection.”
