Reading
A Sandy is reading an article about dress codes. Read the article. Write a T if a sentence is true, an F if it is false or an NM if it is not mentioned in the text.
Everybody wants to look good. A big part of looking good is understanding dress codes. A dress code tells you what clothes are suitable for an event.
For business events, formal clothes are suitable. Men often wear suits and ties, and women often wear their best dresses or skirts and blouses.
The dress code for a casual event is quite different. Are you going to the cinema with friends? You can choose a pair of trousers and a nice sweater. Or to a football match with your family? Casual clothes, like jeans and a T-shirt, are great for that.
In all cases, remember to match your clothes well. Similar colours go well together. You can also mix warm and cool colours, like yellow and green.
Dress codes do help. But more importantly, be confident in what you wear!
1 Dress codes help people learn what clothes are suitable for an event.
2 Women often wear jeans and sweaters for business events.
3 The writer thinks it is important to feel comfortable in your clothes.
4 The writer thinks yellow and green clothes match well.

The DIY Club's next activity
The DIY Club is planning its next big activity! Here is all the information about it.
What is it?
This month's activity is to build our own birdhouses. Club members can take the birdhouses home and put them up in a nearby garden. We also plan to hang some birdhouses in the green spaces at school. This way, all students can enjoy watching birds!
Where and when?
As usual, this activity takes place in the school's art room. Club members may need several meetings to finish their birdhouses. We can meet after school every Tuesday and Thursday in March.
How to prepare?
The DIY Club has a few simple birdhouse designs, but you can bring your own designs too. Check out ideas on the internet! The club provides wood and paints to make the birdhouses. You can also bring any other interesting materials. Use your imagination!
