Steve Jobs died on October 5th, 2011 at the age of 56, after a 7-year-long fight with cancer, just one day after the new iPhone 4S came out.
“Apple has lost a thinker and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing person. We have lost a dear friend,” Apple said.
Without finishing college, the son of adoptive(收养关系的) parents, Jobs started Apple Computer with friend Steve Wozniak in the late 1970s. The company soon introduced the Apple I computer. Then the Apple Ⅱ became a big success. Apple reached its top place in 1980 and made Jobs a rich man. Even though Jobs made a big success, later he didn’t get on well with the other heads of Apple. In 1985, he was
fired.
Apple didn’t go well after that. And in 1996 the company invited him back. In 1997, he became the CEO again. In 2007, the iPhone made an amazing story of modern technology history. Then the new iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 came out and went on making super business. In August of 2011, Jobs gave up his position as CEO of Apple because of his bad health.
“Remember that you are going to die. You don’t have to be afraid of anything. You are already naked(一无所有). There is no reason not to follow your heart,” Jobs once said.
