Today, I'm going to talk about my hobby. Some people play sport and others build models, but my hobby is collecting stamps. I love stamps because they are very beautiful. They can also teach me a lot about different countries.
I have this hobby thanks to my grandpa. He is a stamp collector, and he has thousands of stamps. Some of them are
valuable, so he always keeps them with great care. When Grandpa wants to enjoy his stamps, he will even wear white gloves! I sometimes help him take old stamps from envelopes(信封) and postcards. He likes to tell me interesting stories about the different stamps. It is almost like a History lesson.
Let me show you a very wonderful stamp of the Great Wall. It is my favourite because it was my first one. My grandpa bought it for me. "They built it thousands of years ago, and they built it to keep the enemies away," he told me. My grandpa also shared many other interesting stories about the Great Wall with me. Thanks to this stamp, I became interested in Chinese history, and I started to collect stamps. Now I have over a hundred of them, and I am learning more and more about countries around the world.
