Many people believe Andrea Bocelli has the most beautiful voice in the world. Now a movie called *The Music of Silence* tells the inspiring life story of this great artist. He is an Italian opera singer, musician, and musical producer. He has performed for many people worldwide. This film shows audiences how his amazing musical journey began.
Bocelli was born in 1958 with an eye disease. And he became interested in musical instruments at an early age. When he was six years old, he began learning to play the piano. However, he became completely blind at age 12 after an accident. As the movie describes, blindness never stopped his deep love for music. He began to read music in Braille（盲文）by himself and learned to play instruments like the flute, saxophone, trumpet and more! He also began to practise his singing. At age 14, he won a small singing competition near his hometown. Later, he studied law at university and sang in piano bars at night to pay for his studies. After graduating, he worked as a lawyer for just one year until he decided to follow his music dream.
Bocelli got his
break in 1992 when he recorded a song for the famous singer, Luciano Pavarotti. Pavarotti was amazed by Bocelli's voice, and they soon became friends. They recorded the song “Miserere” together, and it became a hit all over Europe!
What makes *The Music of Silence* special is its deep theme. The director wanted to show the connection between hearing and loss（失去）of eyesight. When one sense is weak, sometimes the other senses are stronger.
