A
In our school, we have three volleyball teams. I played volleyball every day last summer. I made it onto the junior varsity team(校队), even though I'm just in middle school. It is made up of ninth and tenth graders who play at a higher level.
At 2:00 p.m. every day, we change into our shorts, knee pads(护膝) and shoes. We play games not only to score, but also to improve(提高) our skills. After about three and a half hours of practice, I feel quite tired.
Our first match was on a Saturday. I was nervous at first. But my teammates and practice gave me confidence(信心). I took a deep breath(深呼吸), played hard and even got to referee(为……担任裁判) a game. That means my team doesn't need to take part in another match. I'm looking forward to my next game.
