①It takes a lot of energy to light rooms. It also takes energy to heat and cool buildings. So I want to build a kind of house that can do all these things with much less energy. An energy - smart building starts with thick walls. Special insulation(隔热材料) inside keeps heat inside in winter and keeps heat outside in summer. This saves energy for heating and cooling. These green buildings don’t need any radiators(散热器) or air conditioning at all!
②I want to build a house with green materials. What a building is made from can also help the planet. To save forests，I will use bamboo floors instead of wood. Bamboo looks like wood，but it’s actually a grass. It grows back 20 times faster than a tree. I also want to use recycled(回收利用的) materials. That saves the cost and cuts down pollution of producing something new.
③I want a green house that is not only good for the environment，but also healthier for the people inside. And I don’t need to build a whole new building. I will make some simple changes to the old house like planting trees and covering the house with solar panels(太阳能板).
