t feel it at that time. But in September, there was a shaking under our feet for more than a week. Now, scientists find that it is because of global(全球) warming.
The shaking came from the earth's crust. It is the shell of the earth, just like the skin of an apple. It lasted for nine days and went across the whole world.
The study shows that it started in eastern Greenland. Because of global warming, at the foot of a mountain, the ice got thin. It couldn't carry the rocks on it, and the 1, 200-metre-high mountain became small pieces. The rocks all fell down into the sea. This made a really big tsunami (海啸). It was about 110 metres high. Over the next few days, the water moved back and ahead, hitting the cliffs.
Luckily, nobody was hurt. But the scientists believe more things like this will take place because the world is getting warmer.
