七、阅读短文,回答问题(10 分)
What does it feel like to have a giraffe eat breakfast with you? Sofya Phillippova from Russia can tell you.
Phillippova is a 24-year-old travel blogger (博主). Her job is to travel around the world and write about her experiences on her blog. This time, Phillippova went to a giraffe hotel in Kenya, Africa.
This hotel is home to many giraffes. They are friendly to people. When travellers eat outside, the giraffes will stretch their heads towards them and ask for some food. When Phillippova was at the hotel, she enjoyed sitting on a tree swing while greeting and feeding the giraffes.
It seems that giraffes are everywhere. People can see them in zoos. However, this species(物种) is in great trouble. The number of the giraffes has gone down by more than 40% in the past 30 years, according to the Giraffe Conservation Foundation (保护组织).
People are cutting down trees so that giraffes have less space to live and less food to eat. It is time to protect this special animal before it is too late.
