七、阅读表达。
阅读短文,回答短文后的五个问题。
A natural resource is anything in nature that people can use. People cannot make natural resources, but get them from the earth. Examples of natural resources are air, water, copper, wood, oil, wind energy, hydro-electric energy, iron and coal.
We often say that we can divide natural resources into two different groups: renewable resources and non-renewable resources.
A renewable resource can grow again and come back again after we use it. For example, sunlight, water and wind energy are renewable resources.
A non-renewable resource is a resource that cannot grow or come back again, or a resource that will take a very long time to come back. For example, coal is a non-renewable resource. The more coal we use, the less coal there will be underground. One day, there will be no coal to make goods. Non-renewable resources will eventually run out. We can either keep using them until they are gone, or find renewable resources to replace them. It is important to save non-renewable resources, because if we use them too quickly, there will not be enough in the future.
Most natural resources are limited. This means that they will run out. But a perpetual(长久的;无尽的) resource won't. Some examples of perpetual resources include solar energy, tidal(潮汐的) energy and wind energy.
