一、阅读理解
Life is beautiful, but sometimes we are afraid of something in life. Fear is a normal and healthy emotion. It helps protect us from real danger. However, problems start when fear doesn’t go away. If we live in constant (连续的) fear and cannot enjoy life, this may be a sign of anxiety. Like fear, anxiety also makes us worry too much about things that may not be real threats (威胁).
We must learn to overcome our fears and anxieties. Why? Because life needs this ability. When we learn to manage these feelings, we can be happier, do better in school or work, and become our best selves.
So, how can we overcome these feelings? Here are some steps:
1. Notice how you feel. The first step is to understand your emotions. Don’t
ignore them. Say to yourself, “I am feeling scared right now.”
2. Breathe deeply. When you feel afraid, try this simple thing: take a slow, deep breath. This really helps your body and mind calm down.
3. Challenge negative thoughts. Ask yourself, “What am I really afraid of? Is this true?” Talk to a friend or write about it.
4. Learn from pain and failure. Everyone faces hard times. Pain and failure are not fun, but they are powerful teachers. They help us grow and learn for the next time.
Remember the wise words: “The greatest glory (荣耀) is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”
By facing our fears, learning from difficult times, and never giving up, we can find the true meaning of life and see how beautiful life really is. Success is not forever, and failure is not the end. What matters most is having the courage to keep trying.
