Qian Zhongshu was a famous Chinese writer. He was born on November 21st, 1910 in Wuxi, Jiangsu. He started to learn to read at the age of 4. When he was young, he liked reading books. In 1929, Qian Zhongshu went to Tsinghua University because he did well in Chinese and English. He met his wife(妻子) at university and got married(结婚) in 1935.
Qian Zhongshu liked writing. He was good at writing too. His famous book Fortress Besieged(《围城》) was
published in 1947. Qian Zhongshu lived to be eighty-eight.
