He decides to explore the universe, but only meets a few people who waste all their time on things that do not matter. In the end he meets a pilot on Earth who has crashed in a desert, and he tells the pilot his story. Though the story is sad, it teaches us about loneliness and what is important in life.
While children read books like these for the stories and the adventures, each book has a deeper meaning that can make adults think and move their hearts.
