What a bike! Sophie can't keep her eyes off it. Her dad notices(注意到).
“How beautiful the bike is!” Sophie says. Her dad looks at the price(价格).
“I know you like this bike, Sophie. The price is pretty good, but it's still a lot of money. I can't just buy this for you. What if I pay for part of it, then you borrow the rest from me, and you must pay me back?” her dad asks.
“Really?” Sophie says excitedly. “I promise(承诺) I will pay you back!”
As they are walking to the cashier desk(收银台), her dad asks Sophie if she knows what it means to borrow money.
“Yes, it means that I have to give it back to you,” Sophie answers.
Her dad says, “You're right, but you can give it back to me a little at a time. Now you get five dollars a week for your pocket money and of course, you can get more if you do well in your exams(考试). You can pay it back to me once a week.”
“Thank you, Dad! I promise I will pay you back everything. Please trust me!”

We have a survey about the use of the students' pocket money recently.

I think the students spend too much on snacks and drinks, and they’re unhealthy. Games are not good for students either. Students should spend less money on them.
