On the morning of every Monday, my two kids get ready for school. They each carry a large bag with some clothes, a pair of shoes, lots of food and water, but there aren’t any books in it.

The fact is that my boys got used to life at the forest school quickly. Most of the time, they plan their own play, make fires, climb tall trees for fruit, and do many other interesting things. The teachers guide the kids to solve problems by themselves when something goes wrong.
When I pick the boys up at the end of the afternoon, their clothes and shoes look so dirty. But on their faces, I can see that they are lively and happy, and never want to leave. In the forest school, they learn how to look after themselves and love nature. I think that is important.
